Mr & Mrs Waye, El Pinilio. Emergency Call Out.
This is what CAN happen when someone unqualified (ie who doesn't know what
they are doing) tries to fix your electrics.
Mr & Mrs Waye had been experiencing problems with their main fuse blowing.
The joker who had been to this problem before us simply upgraded the main
incoming fuse without checking the incoming/outgoing cables. The result was
the cable overheated & the fuse holder burnt. His fuse upgrade caused
a fire. Lucky it happened outside in the meter cupboard & not inside at
the fuseboard end!!
We installed the correct fuse & instructed Mr & Mrs Waye to either
cut down on what they were using OR upgrade the supply cable.
