My main switch in the fuseboard keeps tripping for no reason. Its driving me mad…Why?

I got an electric shock. Why didn’t any of my fuseboard switches trip?

When my fuseboard trips my house’s alarm system doesn’t work and that worries me.. plus my alarm company charge me for unnecessary call outs!

My fuseboard tripped for no reason and my freezer has now defrosted… now all the food is wasted!!

Test the resistance & insulation of the cables throughout your whole property. You can’t see the cables in your walls and floors but our equipment can test them, which enables us to report to you about their condition.

Test for earth leakage…. We can quickly pinpoint the circuit and/or the faulty
appliance which is making your RCD switch trip for no apparent reason. For example, just because your kettle is working OK it doesn’t mean to say its not losing some current to earth & thus causing your RCD to trip. As long as these appliances are plugged into a socket they can lose current to earth ,,,, whether they are switched on or not!!

Test for potentially dangerous overload currents. Our digital clamp meters can measure your electrical intake and is capable of informing us of any dangerous overloads that your demand for electricity is causing to your system. If your circuit breakers are old they may not function properly and trip as required…. This can cause overload & in some cases overheating of cables and in some extreme cases fires.

We believe you have two choices…

If you want the so called electrician/handy man who comes to your house and simply suggests you change your fuseboard, changes your circuit breakers, suggests you un-plugs all your appliances one by one over a period of time so as to try and find the fault…. or even better…suggests you rewire your whole house (at some serious expense)… then you don’t want us!!
